I have to leave.
Ma Kent:
I knew this time would come. We both knew it from the day we found you.
Young Clark Kent:
I talked to Ben Hubbard yesterday. He said that... that he'd be happy to help out from now on.
[Clark's composure is rapidly breaking down]
Young Clark Kent:
Mother...
Ma Kent:
I know, son. I know. Do you... know where you're headed?
Young Clark Kent:
[nods]
North.
[pause]
Ma Kent:
Remember us, son. Always remember us.
[they embrace, and watch the sun rise over the wheat field]
