Joe Wallace:
Yeah, surprise me. You're married with three children.
Pat:
You try too hard.
Joe Wallace:
What do you mean try too hard? Listen, if I was trying hard, I would get somewhere, wouldn't I? Believe me, I'm not trying., It's just I don't like teases.
Pat:
Who's teasing you?
Joe Wallace:
Well, don't let's get into all that. Seriously, what's the matter?
Pat:
You really want to know?
Joe Wallace:
Yeah.
Pat:
Well, from what I've heard, you've been with everything on two legs, wearing lipstick and overage. And you got a couple of them in the family way and you didn't do anything about it. I was told the first day I took the job that you were the one to watch out for. I saw you coming before you saw me and, when I saw you, I didn't care what you had done or what I'd heard because you looked nice and I thought I'd like to go out with you if you liked me and you did ask me , and I still feel that way. But it doesn't mean I'm going to be like all the rest, or you're going to get it the first time, 'cause I want something more than that. If you can't give that to me, better know right away so we don't waste each other's time.
Joe Wallace:
[Gets up to leave]
I see. Yes, I see. Well, that just about wraps it up then, doesn't it? Coming?
