The legend of the scarecrow goes back generations. It is said the Scarecrow was once a man who was thought to be stealing from the locals in the 1800s. He was left out in the cold winter, strung up to a cross in the cornfield. The locals watched on while crows pecked him to death, watching his soul die in the fields. Some say the soul of the Scarecrow still haunts those fields. Some say every 20 years he rises once more, seeking revenge on those who walk the land. Mistaking them for those who did him wrong.
