Brandon Lang:
[Narrating]
Football wasn't a sport, it was my life. I wasn't going to give up. I would play again. In the meantime, I needed a job to hold me over between tryouts. Then one day and it didn't take long, six years had passed and I woke up at the bottom. I got a job recording messages for nine hundred numbers also called "audio text", the racket had a lot of names, it was sports handicapping. I would predict winners for people who bet. The guy was sick, so I was just supposed to record his picks. The thing was, I didn't agree with them, living in Las Vegas, it was easy to gauge the temperature of the betting public. The problem with the betting public is that they are usually wrong.
