Nash Bridges

San Francisco. Due poliziotti: Nash Bridges e Joe Dominguez, rispettivamente ispettore/capitano e ispettore/tenente della SIU (Special Investigative Unit) della Polizia Californiana, dovranno risolvere casi investigativi di elevata importanza che metteranno a repentaglio le loro vite. Nash è un'uomo di 40 anni, ha divorziato due volte e ha a che fare con una figlia adolescente molto giocosa di nome Cassidy. Per riprendere in mano la sua vita dopo le varie separazioni convince l'ispettore Joe Dominguez, recentemente ritiratosi in pensione a tornare a lavorare con lui per fare quello che a lui piace di più, il suo lavoro. Entrambi girano per le strade di San Francisco a bordo di una "Plymouth Barracuda" del 1971 di colore giallo, un regalo del fratello di Nash, Bobby! Poco prima che quest'ultimo partisse per la guerra del Vietnam. Il padre di Nash ovvero Nick soffre di una lieve demenza e ha l'abitudine di essere cacciato dalle case di cura. Alla fine si trasferisce con Nash ed è spesso coinvolto in sottotramme comiche. Tra il lavoro e alcune situazioni familiari e sentimentali complicate Nash dovrà affrontare mille difficolta, riuscirà il nostro poliziotto a farcela?
