Chick Hicks was originally going to return from Cars - Motori ruggenti (2006) as an ally of the lemon cars to seek revenge on Lightning McQueen, and he'd help the lemon cars let the race cars lose by sabotaging the race, similarly with him knocking out The King. The idea was scrapped from the movie for unknown reasons.
