The sound of the Good Samaritan gun firing was created by rubbing pieces of fruit together. Sound designer Bryan Bowen realized this upon eating a continental breakfast at a Holiday Inn Express and his banana rubbed up against his pineapple. He has since started compartmentalizing fruit on his plate as to not frighten people in public with this sound.
