The troll henchman of Prince Nuada Silverlance, Mr. Wink, bears some minor resemblance to the two major Orc characters from The Hobbit Trilogy by Peter Jackson (Which was supposed to be directed by Guillermo Del Toro, who eventually contributed to the screenplay instead) known as Azog and Bolg. All three are brutish and are skilled physical fighters who have metal prosthetic replacing parts of their body. Wink has a clockwork arm with blades attached to it, as well as metal legs and feet; Bolg has metal plates in his skull holding his face together; and Azog has metal blade or claw for an arm that he lost in battle against Thorin Oakenshield.
