In episode two, Henry Deaver is at the home of the deceased warden Dale Lacy looking through his belongings. He comes across a folder with news paper clippings, the headline of one reads: "Rabid Dog Tears Through Town". This is a reference to Cujo (1983), a book written by Stephen King that was also turned into a movie.
