That '70s Show creators Bonnie Turner and Terry Turner also previously created the NBC sitcom, Una famiglia del terzo tipo (1996). Right before "'70s" entered production, the two creators along with "'70s" executive producers Marcy Carsey, Tom Werner and Caryn Mandabach (who were also the executive producers on "3rd Rock") took the main actors to a live taping of "3rd Rock" as they wanted them to get a feel for what they should expect once they started production.
