On a number of occasions German soldiers are seen equipped with the Mauser Kar 98k rifle, which was not introduced until 1935 (it was the standard German rifle of World War 2). In several background shots soldiers also appear to be wearing 'stahlhelm' helmets of a closer-fitting version than that worn during the First World War, suggesting they are post-war M1935 variants or later.
