Appena giunto alla stazione di New York, il provinciale Clark Kellogg viene derubato di tutti i suoi averi. Per caso ritrova il ladro, che per farsi perdonare gli presenta suo zio Carmine Sabatini, un boss della mafia che prende a benvolere il ragazzo anche grazie all'intervento della figlia Tina. Clark si ritrova così fidanzato nonché coinvolto nei traffici di Sabatini: una situazione imbarazzante, da cui però saprà trarre i suoi vantaggi...
