Nato da una famiglia di boscaioli, Abraham Lincoln è un giovane intraprendente: si laurea in legge, diventa avvocato e comincia a occuparsi con passione di politica. La sua carriera è rapidissima, fino all'elezione alla presidenza degli Stati Uniti alla vigilia della guerra civile. Lincoln riesce a porre termine al conflitto e a tenere unita la nazione, ma proprio quando tutto sembra risolto viene ucciso in un attentato.
