In piena seconda guerra mondiale una nave viene attaccata ed il suo equipaggio recuperato da un'altra imbarcazione che fa parte di un convoglio diretto a Murmansk. Presto anche questa rimarrà isolata a causa dei pesanti attacchi tedeschi, ma un tenente riuscirà a portarla a destinazione a dispetto delle bombe naziste con l'aiuto degli aerei russi.
