Città del Messico. Octavio tenta di scappare con Susana, sua cognata, portandosi dietro anche il cane Cofi che può servire per portare a casa qualche soldo in più. Daniel lascia la famiglia per iniziare una nuova vita con la modella Valeria che, nel giorno in cui dovrebbe cominciare a stare con lui, è vittima di un grave incidente. Lì sopraggiunge El Chivo, un ex guerrigliero comunista uscito dal carcere e abile come sicario. L'uomo trova Cofi che sta morendo e lo porta con sé per guarirlo.
