Phillip Filmore è un ingenuo quindicenne, preoccupato per il sesso, che si prende una cotta per Nicole Mallow, la nuova trentenne, governante francese e baby-sitter che si occupa di lui quando il padre di Phillip è fuori città per l'estate per un viaggio di "lavoro". Ma l'autista senza scrupoli del signor Filmore, Lester Lewis, approfitta della cotta di Phillip per Nicole per assumerla per sedurre il giovane, poi la coinvolge in un complotto per inscenare la propria morte in un piano di ricatto volto a prosciugare il fondo fiduciario di Phillip.
