Un gruppo di gangster, a Parigi, compie un colpo favoloso, praticando un buco nel tetto di una gioielleria e impadronendosi di un bottino enorme. Ma uno della banda, Cesare, regala un anello a una cantante, il cui amico, un gangster rivale, capisce la verità e scatena una caccia all'uomo per impossessarsi della refurtiva. Tra le due bande scoppia una guerra senza esclusione di colpi. Gli autori del furto, Tony il Laureato, Jo lo Svedese e gli altri finiranno tutti uccisi, non prima di aver creato larghi vuoti nella gang avversaria.
