Lai Tiu-Fi e Ho-Po Wing sono innamorati quando lasciano la natìa Hong Kong per recarsi in Argentina. Ma qualcosa non va per il verso giusto infatti, mentre i due si stanno dirigendo verso il sud del paese, Ho-Po Wing abbandona il suo amante. Lai decide di stabilirsi a Buenos Aires, trova lavoro come buttafuori in un tango bar e sta mettendo insieme i soldi per tornare finalmente a casa. Ma un giorno Ho riappare nella sua vita.
