Julian Kaye è il più noto gigolo di Los Angeles, un uomo dai gusti raffinati che ha trasformato in business la sua conoscenza delle lingue straniere e la capacità di soddisfare sessualmente ogni donna. Le sue abilità con le signore più mature gli permettono di lavorare in autonomia, prendendo incarichi sia da Anne, una piacente donna svedese di mezza età, che da Leon, un pappone nel giro dei gay club notturni. Quest'ultimo gli fornisce una sera un lavoro con la moglie di un finanziere di Palm Beach che gli chiede di poter assistere al rapporto, durante il quale vuole che Julian pratichi violenza sulla donna. Quando, pochi giorni dopo, la stessa donna viene trovata assassinata, i primi sospetti cominciano a muoversi proprio attorno a Julian.
