Nel corso di una delle ultime offensive tedesche durante la Seconda guerra mondiale, una compagine di soldati americani impegnata nella battaglia delle Ardenne si perde dietro le linee nemiche, scoprendo una terribile verità: Hitler sta portando avanti il progetto di sviluppo di una super bomba. Dopo la defezione dello scienziato tedesco responsabile del programma di armamento, i soldati ricevono dalle forze alleate il compito segreto di rintracciarlo nel cuore della Germania nazista.
