Cody Maverick è un pinguino che sogna la prossima onda per lasciare Ghiacciano Terme e diventare un campione del surf. Seguito da una troupe televisiva che documenta la sua prima competizione professionistica, Cody abbandona la madre e il grasso fratello diretto all'isola di Pen Gu.
