In un antico borgo spagnolo, Gatto e Humpty Dumpty sono cresciuti come fratelli in un orfanotrofio, col sogno di trovare un giorno i fagioli magici e arrivare all'oca dalle uova d'oro. Nel frattempo, geloso del suo compare più atletico ed amato, Humpty non ha però disdegnato la strada del crimine ed è proprio in occasione di una rapina che qualcosa è andato storto e la loro amicizia si è frantumata. Gatto si aggira da allora come un fuorilegge, in cerca di un modo per ripulire il suo nome, mentre Humpty fa squadra con Kitty Zampe di Velluto, una gattina bella e scaltra. Il destino li rimette un giorno insieme, finalmente sulle tracce dei fagioli magici.
