Sono passati alcuni anni e Sophie ha deciso di rimodernare l'hotel di famiglia, sull'isola greca di Kalokairi, per rendere omaggio a Donna, che l'ha cresciuta da sola in quel paradiso terrestre. Mentre soffre per la lontananza di Sky e si adopera perché l'inaugurazione dell'hotel sia memorabile, la giovane donna ripensa alla vita di sua madre, a quel pugno di giorni che le sconvolsero la vita e alla scelta di restare sull'isola, la stessa che sta maturando lei, tra entusiasmo e perplessità.
