Film in due episodi e un intermezzo. Nel "Boxeur" Joey, un garzone, diventa campione di boxe per potersi pagare gli studi. Il suo nuovo allenatore, il losco Vince, però vuole fargli perdere un incontro: Joey si rifiuta, ma il gesto costa la vita al suo vecchio allenatore e amico Gloves. Joey lasciata la boxe diviene avvocato e fa condannare Vince. Nella "Ballerina" un impresario di Broadway prossimo alla morte allestisce un grande spettacolo con musiche di uno sconosciuto. Una giovanissima ballerina farà trionfare lo spettacolo.
