Conan ha visto la luce nel sangue della battaglia. Orfano di madre è stato allevato dal padre, fiero guerriero cimmero, che lo inizia al segreto della spada e dell'acciaio. Unico sopravvissuto al saccheggio del suo villaggio e testimone impotente della morte del padre, Conan è determinato ad avere vendetta. Diverse imprese e anni dopo, il ragazzo è diventato uomo ed è finalmente sulle tracce di Khalar Zym, il volgare assassino del suo genitore che ha ricomposto la maschera di Acheron per ottenere potere e immortalità. Lo asseconda diabolicamente la figlia Marique, strega letale che pratica la magia nera e cerca una giovane donna dal sangue puro da sacrificare sull'altare del delirio paterno. Spetterà all'audace barbaro salvare la candida sacerdotessa e sprofondare nell'abisso il malvagio Khalar Zym.
