Se pensavate di conoscere il mondo delle api, il film d'animazione della Dreamworks Bee Movie vi farà ricredere. Nella versione originale, il celebre comico Jerry Seinfeld, oltre ad aver co-sceneggiato e prodotto la pellicola, presta la voce all'ape che porta il nome di Barry Benson. Quest'ultimo è un giovane neo-laureato che sogna di avventurarsi al di fuori dell'alveare per venire a contatto con il mondo degli umani. L'incontro con Vanessa, una fioriaia di Manhattan, gli farà infrangere una delle regole di base del mondo in giallo e nero: parlare con gli uomini.
