FDR Foster e il suo amico per la pelle Tuck sono due agenti della CIA che lavorano in coppia. Mentre Tuck è divorziato e ha un figlio, FDR (che sta per Franklin Delano Roosevelt) è un dongiovanni. Finiscono entrambi per essere attratti da Lauren, una single che non vorrebbe essere più tale e che non sa chi scegliere. A questo si aggiunga che i due, che si confidano tutto, si rivelano reciprocamente per chi sta battendo il loro cuore. Da quel momento si contrasteranno senza esclusione di colpi per conquistare senza rivali l'attenzione della giovane donna.
