Dopo l'arresto del potente Margolis, Jerry Welbach è costretto da un boss mafioso a recuperare un'antica pistola, chiamata appunto "The Mexican". La fidanzata Samantha vuole però che molli tutto e lo segue a Los Angeles, ma il giovane non ha scelta: o ritrova la pistola o è un uomo morto. La ragazza rimane così coinvolta nella vicenda e dopo aver rischiato la vita viene rapita.
