Jonathan Moore è uno studente della UCLA che non ha molta fortuna con le ragazze, ma in compenso è un ottimo giocatore di un gioco chiamato Toccato, una specie di Paintball in cui deve colpire tutti gli altri giocatori presenti su una lista. Durante una vacanza a Parigi con il suo amico Manolo incontra una ragazza cecoslovacca, Sasha Banicek, innamorandosene. Jonathan decide di seguire Sasha dapprima a Berlino Ovest e successivamente a Berlino Est, dove ben presto si trova coinvolto in una storia di vere spie. Alla fine tutta la vicenda si risolve a Los Angeles grazie anche all'aiuto della CIA.
