I sei eroi Toa Metru tornano nell'isola di Metru Nui per cercare le capsule Matoran che non sono state ancora trovate. Appena entrano nella città scoprono che Metru Nui è completamente cambiata: è diventata una città fantasma. L'intera isola sembra devastata, molti paesi sono abbandonati o infestati da bestie pericolosissime. Il guerriero Toa Whenua si accorge che gli archivi, che contenevano tutte le specie animali di Metru Nui, sono stai manomessi. Ma mentre la ricerca continua i Visorak, esseri aracnoidi, attaccano il gruppo e lo rendono immobile.
