Un giovane gentiluomo conosce una fanciulla verso la quale si sente irresistibilmente attratto. Mentre stanno conversando amabilmente il loro discorso cade sui lupi mannari e sulla strana malattia chiamata licantropia. Una sera il giovane, la fanciulla e una loro amica decidono di recarsi in un campo nomadi per farsi predire il futuro. A un certo punto l'amica scompare e contemporaneamente i due sentono un urlo provenire dal bosco. Un lupo mannaro sta terrorizzando la città...
