A Boston, mafia, malviventi comuni e forze dell'ordine sono in gara tra loro per tentare di accaparrarsi 31 milioni di dollari sporchi da riciclare. Tra le forze dell'ordine si distinguono, in particolare, un'agente speciale donna dell'FBI, un ex agente della Dea (che, espulso dal corpo, mira adesso a recuperare il denaro per tentare di essere reintegrato).
