The Shield

I protagonisti sono quattro detective corrotti: Vic, Shane, Lem e Ronnie. Quattro migliori amici dal legame indissolubile che va oltre i normali rapporti lavorativi che si instaurano generalmente tra colleghi. Tutti e quattro si riuniscono sempre in una stanza privata, una sorta di piccola "tana" dove a nessuno è concesso entrare, in cui pianificano tutti i sotterfugi da mettere in atto per il proprio tornaconto. Usano la loro posizione per controllare direttamente gli spacciatori e le gang per creare una serie di intrallazzi per arricchirsi. A lungo andare, finiranno per invischiarsi in traffici più grandi e per coprire le loro mosse illegali cominciano a compierne di peggiori tanto da diventare più criminali dei criminali stessi. Le vite dei quattro detective finiscono per scontrarsi con un destino sempre più duro per colpa delle indagini su di loro che diventeranno sempre più reali e pericolose. Tutto ciò farà nascere, tra i quattro, problemi nel loro rapporto che si trasformeranno in qualcosa di più tragico.
