La storia provocatoria e drammatica di un uomo di trentadue anni che accoglie a casa una quattordicenne conosciuta su internet, con conseguenze sorprendenti. Jeff è un fotografo trentenne. Hayley una ragazzina di quattordici anni ma molto, molto più sveglia di quanto la sua età potrebbe far credere. I due, dopo lunghe sessioni di chat in internet decidono di incontrarsi. Dopo un drink e una fetta di torta si recano a casa di Jeff, ma quella che poteva diventare una giornata allegra e piacevole si trasforma per il fotografo in un incubo senza fine... Inquietante e teso, Hard Candy rovescia la favola di Cappuccetto Rosso: stavolta a subire è il lupo, mentre la potenziale vittima si palesa come il più feroce dei carnefici. Tanta la carne al fuoco in questo splendido thriller che procede di minuto in minuto come un equilibrista in bilico sul filo che rischia di cadere a ogni istante.
