Charlie Bucket, proviene da una famiglia povera, e spende la maggior parte del suo tempo a sognare la cioccolata che adora, ma che di rado può permettersela. La sua vita cambia quando Willy Wonka, proprietario di una famosissima fabbrica di cioccolato, mette in palio cinque biglietti, nascosti in cinque barrette di cioccolato. I bambini che troveranno uno di questi biglietti potranno fare un tour nella fantastica fabbrica di cioccolato. Charlie trova miracolosamente un biglietto vincente...
