Costretta a interrompere una vacanza tropicale alle Hawaii col fidanzato (Schwimmer), Robin Monroe (Heche), rampante giornalista di New York, si fa trasportare a Tahiti dal pilota civile Quinn Harris (Ford). Incappati in una tempesta, fanno un rovinoso atterraggio di fortuna su un'isoletta. I due hanno caratteri incompatibili. Commedia romantica vecchia come il cucco, ma piacevole e divertente, scritta da Michael Browning e girata nell'isola di Kauai, tela di fondo di una cinquantina di film hollywoodiani. Parentesi leggera per H. Ford che se la cava con garbo.
