Stavolta Superman è costretto a lottare contro se stesso: un malefico re del caffè e del petrolio, che sta architettando un piano per dominare il mondo, infatti regala a Superman un cristallo di Kriptonite sintetico, in omaggio al pianeta Kripton, dal quale il super eroe è arrivato.
