Gli alieni vogliono conquistare la Terra, apparentemente per impedirle di autodistruggersi con le armi nucleari, e per farlo mettono in atto il cosiddetto Piano 9, che prevede che i morti risorgano dalle tombe e in qualche modo realizzino lo scopo. Il pilota d’aereo Jeff Trent (Gregory Walcott) però si batte contro gli alieni per impedire che il loro piano abbia successo. È inutile cercare di riassumere ulteriormente la trama: questo è il film culto in assoluto tra quelli realizzati da Ed Wood e perciò è del tutto privo di senso per definizione.
