Vida Boheme e Noxeema Jackson sono le vincitrici ex-aequo del concorso "Drag Queen dell'anno" e hanno la possibilità di gareggiare per il titolo di "Miss Drag Queen d'America" a Hollywood. Poco prima di partire, però, Vida decide di aiutare Chi Chi Rodriguez, una giovane drag queen, in preda allo sconforto per non aver vinto il concorso e il sentirsi non adeguata. Le tre vendono i biglietti aerei e decidono di attraversare il paese in auto. Durante il viaggio, Diva aggredisce uno sceriffo e, dopo una breve fuga, le tre giungono a Snydersville, una piccola cittadina dove aiutano gli abitanti ad avere più fiducia in sé stessi.
