Stavolta Superman è costretto a lottare contro se stesso: un malefico re del caffè e del petrolio, che sta architettando un piano per dominare il mondo, infatti regala a Superman un cristallo di Kriptonite sintetico, in omaggio al pianeta Kripton, dal quale il super eroe è arrivato. Il cristallo però libera la parte cattiva di Superman: arriva in ritardo quando c'è bisogno del suo aiuto, fa dispetti alle ragazze, raddrizza la torre di Pisa compromettendo il turismo nella città toscana e come se non bastasse, si da all'alcool...
