Puella Magi Madoka Magica

Dopo un terribile e bizzarro sogno, Madoka Kaname, una ragazzina di 14 anni, incontra una magica creatura di nome Kyubey. A Madoka e alla sua amica, Sayaka Miki, viene offerta l’opportunità di ottenere dei poteri magici se acconsentiranno a fare un contratto con lo strano essere. In aggiunta concede loro la possibilità di esprimere un desiderio, in cambio però dovranno rischiare le loro vite accettando la responsabilità di combattere le streghe. Invisibili agli occhi umani, le streghe sono catalizzatrici di disperazione nelle zone in cui si insediano. Un’alleata di Kyubey, una ragazza magica di nome Mami Tomoe, fa amicizia e incoraggia le due ragazze ad accettare il contratto. Per una ragione sconosciuta, un'altra ragazza magica chiamata Homura Akemi è determinata a impedire che Madoka accetti l'accordo.
