Umiliato, il 13enne Josh esprime il desiderio di diventare grande e il mago di una macchinetta di un luna park lo esaudisce. Si ritrova nel difficile mondo dei grandi con un corpo da 30enne e la testa di un 13enne. P. Marshall, matematica e psicologa, non è riuscita ad approfondire più di tanto l'indagine psicologica, ma ha saputo costruire un film piacevole, pieno di trovate.
