I Robinson

La serie narra la vita della famiglia Robinson (Huxtable), residente a New York (precisamente a Brooklyn), composta dal padre Heathcliff "Cliff" Robinson, ginecologo, dalla madre Claire, avvocato, e dai cinque figli: Sandra, Denise, Theodore "Theo", Vanessa e Rudith "Rudy". La serie verte molto sulle battute fulminanti di Bill Cosby ma in generale sui contrasti e sui problemi portati dai figli adolescenti e tocca temi delicati come le gravidanze adolescenziali e il consumo di droghe. Poi la famiglia si allarga con l'arrivo di Olivia (figlia di Martin e della sua ex moglie, poi, in seguito al matrimonio con Martin, di Denise e Martin), i gemelli Winnie e Nelson (di Sandra e Alvin) e Pamela "Pam" (cugina di Claire).
